Age Limit & Relaxation

Eligibility Criteria

Selection Process

The recruitment will be a two-stage process for candidates shortlisted based on their Common Eligibility Test (CET) Phase-I score.

1. Stage-I: Stenography Skill Test (Qualifying): You must pass a computer-based shorthand test in Hindi/English as per the prescribed speed and accuracy criteria (details in Appendix C-I).
2. Stage-II: Written Examination (100 Marks):
   • Mode: Offline (OMR-based), Bilingual (Hindi & English)
   • Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
   • Duration: 1 Hour 45 Minutes
   • Syllabus: General Awareness, Reasoning, Maths, Science, Haryana History, Computer Knowledge, and Subject-related Stenography theory.
   • Qualifying Marks: General – 50%, Reserved Categories – 40%.
   • Marking: No negative marking for wrong answers, but -1 mark for unattempted questions if the fifth bubble is not filled.

Final Merit: Based on marks in the Written Examination. In case of a tie, older age and higher CET Phase-I marks will be considered.

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with other allowances admissible to Haryana Government employees.
