Minimum Qualification: Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree) from any recognized University

A candidate must hold a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time or possess an equivalent qualification.

The selection process for JPSC Combined Civil Services Examination 2025 consists of three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

• Paper-I: General Studies-I (200 Marks, 2 Hours, 100 Questions)
• Paper-II: General Studies-II (200 Marks, 2 Hours, 100 Questions)
• Total: 400 Marks
• This is a screening test only. Marks will not be counted for final merit.
• No negative marking
• Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (Relaxable as per category)

2. Main Examination (Written + Descriptive)

• Paper-I: General Hindi & General English (100 Marks) – Qualifying
• Paper-II: Language and Literature (150 Marks)
• Paper-III: Social Sciences (200 Marks)
• Paper-IV: Indian Constitution & Polity (200 Marks)
• Paper-V: Indian Economy (200 Marks)
• Paper-VI: General Sciences & Technology (200 Marks)
• Total: 950 Marks (excluding Paper-I)

3. Interview / Personality Test

• No minimum qualifying marks

3. Complete OTR registration (if not already done) between 31.01.2026 to 14.02.2026
