Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed 10th Class / Matriculation from recognized Board
- OR ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate from recognized institute
- OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT
- OR Equivalent qualification as on closing date (02.03.2026)
- Important: Candidates awaiting results are NOT eligible to apply
Nationality:
Candidate must be a citizen of India, OR a citizen of Nepal, OR a subject of Bhutan, OR Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962, OR person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries.
Medical Standards:

Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT):
- Single Stage CBT (Railway may conduct multi-stage if required)
- Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates using scribe)
- Total Questions: 100 (Each of 1 mark)
- Subjects: General Science (25), Mathematics (25), General Intelligence & Reasoning (30), General Awareness & Current Affairs (20)
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS-40%, OBC/SC/ST-30%
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Shortlisting: 3 times of vacancies based on CBT merit
- Male: Lift & carry 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes + Run 1000 meters in 4 min 15 sec
- Female: Lift & carry 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes + Run 1000 meters in 5 min 40 sec
- PwBD, Ex-Servicemen & CCAA candidates exempted from PET
- Document Verification (DV):
- Shortlisting: 1:1 ratio of vacancies
- Verification of educational certificates, caste certificate, age proof, and other documents

- Authenticate identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar (recommended)
- Complete OTP verification
- Fill the online application form carefully with all required details
- Select your preferred RRB/Railway Zone (cannot be changed later)
- Select post preferences as per your eligibility
- Upload live photograph (will be captured through webcam/mobile camera)
- Upload scanned signature in running handwriting (JPG/JPEG format, 30-49 KB)
