Salary and In-Hand Calculation

Eligibility Criteria

A critical eligibility note: The 55% marks in 10th/SSC with Science subjects is mandatory unless the candidate is applying through the apprentice training (2 years) or work experience (3 years) route. The experience must be full-time and in the relevant trade from a Ministry/Department/Organisation/PSU/Autonomous Body under Government of India/State/UT. Part-time experience, daily wages, etc. will not be counted. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce a conversion formula from the respective board/university.

Selection Process

Stage 1: Screening

Online applications will be screened by a duly constituted Screening Committee. The Committee will shortlist candidates to be called for the Trade Test. Mere possession of essential qualifications does not entitle candidates to be called for further stages.

Stage 2: Trade Test (Qualifying)

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Trade Test in the relevant trade. The syllabus of the trade tests will be notified on the CSIR-CMERI website. This is a qualifying stage; only candidates who qualify will be called for the Competitive Written Examination.

Stage 3: Competitive Written Examination

The written examination consists of three papers, OMR/Computer Based, Objective Type, total 150 questions, 2 hours 30 minutes duration.

Paper-I: Mental Ability Test (1 hour)
