Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of the following stages. Candidates must qualify each stage to proceed to the next:

Stage 1 – Preliminary Written Exam
  1. 100 MCQ Questions – Total Marks: 100 – Duration: 2 Hours
  2. General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 40 Questions (Graduate Level)
  3. Physics: 60 Questions (Graduate Level)
  4. Minimum 30% marks required to qualify (i.e., 30 out of 100)
  5. Top 20 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted for Main Exam
  6. Negative Marking: 0.2 marks deducted for every incorrect answer
Stage 2 – Main Written Exam (Two Papers)
  1. Paper 1 – General Language Knowledge: Hindi 50 Marks + English 50 Marks = 100 Marks – Duration: 1.5 Hours – MCQ (Intermediate Level). Minimum 30 marks required to qualify. This is a qualifying paper only – marks are NOT added to final merit.
  2. Paper 2 – Physics (Graduate Level): 100 MCQ Questions – Total Marks: 100 – Duration: 3 Hours. Minimum 33% marks (33 out of 100) required to qualify. This paper decides the final merit ranking.
  3. Negative Marking: 0.2 marks deducted for every incorrect answer in both papers
  4. Top 5 times the number of vacancies (category-wise) from Paper 2 will be called for Physical Test
Stage 3 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Aptitude Test (PAT)
  1. This is a qualifying stage – candidates must pass all 4 events individually
  2. Events: Running, High Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put
  3. Maximum 3 attempts are allowed for High Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put
  4. Running is a single-attempt event – candidates exceeding the prescribed time will be disqualified
Stage 4 – Medical Examination, Character & Document Verification
  1. All finally selected candidates will undergo medical fitness examination
  2. Character verification and background check by the appointing authority
  3. Document verification of all submitted certificates and proofs
  4. Final merit list is prepared based on Main Exam Paper 2 (Physics) marks only

  3. Find Advertisement No. 04/2026 and click the “Apply Online” link
  4. Register using your valid mobile number and email ID – an OTP will be sent via SMS and Email for verification
  5. Login using the Registration ID and Password received on your mobile/email
  6. Fill in all personal details carefully – Name, Father’s/Husband’s Name, DOB, Address, Reservation Category, and Gender
  7. Enter your educational qualifications accurately as per your original certificates
  8. Upload a recent colour photograph (15–25 KB, white background, .jpg/.jpeg/.gif format) and signature in both Hindi and English (black or blue ink, 15–25 KB, white background)
  9. Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI. Keep the transaction receipt safe
