Selection Process

The selection for CSIR-NAL Project Staff positions is based on Walk-in Interview:

Stage 1: Registration and Document Verification

Candidates must report to the designated venue between 9:00 AM and 9:45 AM on the specified interview date. Original documents and one set of photocopies will be verified. No candidates allowed after 9:45 AM.

Stage 2: Interview

Selection will be based upon performance in the interview. In case a large number of candidates appear, the Selection/Screening Committee may conduct a written exam or adopt any other criteria to shortlist candidates for the interview.

Stage 3: Selection Panel

A panel of suitable candidates will be generated after the selection process. The panel will be valid for a maximum period of one year. Empanelment does not guarantee automatic engagement.

Stage 4: Document Verification and Joining

Selected candidates must produce original documents and report for duty within 15 days. No further extension will be normally entertained.

Contract Terms and Important Conditions

• Tenure: Engagement is on a contract basis and co-terminus with the project. Maximum duration in one project or different projects shall not exceed six years.
• Termination: May be terminated at any time by giving a notice of one month from either side or one month stipend in lieu thereof.
• No Regularization: The engagement confers no rights for continuation beyond tenure/absorption/regularization in CSIR.
