1,308 vacancies are now open under Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s major recruitment drive. UPSSSC has released Advertisement No. 18-Pariksha/2026 for Veterinary Pharmacist Main Examination (PE-2025). This recruitment is for the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The online application process will begin on 14th September 2026 and close on 5th October 2026. Only those candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and have been issued a score card by the Commission are eligible to apply. The Unreserved category has the highest number of vacancies at 576, followed by OBC with 359 posts, SC with 237 posts, EWS with 59 posts, and ST with 63 posts. This distribution reflects the standard reservation policy of the Uttar Pradesh Government. With 1,308 total vacancies, this is one of the largest Veterinary Pharmacist recruitments in recent years. Salary and Pay Scale

Selection Process

The selection for Veterinary Pharmacist posts is based solely on the written examination. There is no interview.

Stage 1: Shortlisting for Main Examination

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their normalized score in PET 2025. 15 times the category-wise vacancies will be shortlisted (including all candidates with the final cut-off normalized score up to two decimal places).

Stage 2: Main Written Examination

Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed to appear for the Main Written Examination. The exam consists of 100 objective-type questions (1 mark each) with a duration of 2 hours. Negative marking of 25% (1/4 mark) per wrong answer.
