Final year students are not eligible to apply unless their final result is declared on or before 21.07.2026. Equivalent qualifications recognized by the Central Government are accepted. The percentage calculation must be done as per the university norms.
Selection Process
The selection for IBPS PO 2026 consists of four stages:
1. Preliminary Examination (Objective)
This is a screening test of 1 hour with 100 questions covering English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. Candidates must qualify in each test to be shortlisted for the Mains.
2. Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive)
The Mains exam has objective (200 marks) and descriptive (25 marks) sections. Subjects include Reasoning, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English, and Data Analysis. The descriptive paper includes Essay and Comprehension.
3. Personality Test
A non-qualifying Personality Test is conducted for candidates shortlisted from the Main exam. It is mandatory for appearing in the Interview.
4. Interview
The final stage is a Common Interview conducted by the Participating Banks. The weightage ratio of Main Exam and Interview is 80:20.
