SBI has released Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17 for the main recruitment of over 10,000 Clerk posts, following the earlier special recruitment drive for 1,538 backlog vacancies. The SBI Clerk Notification 2026 was released on 11th August 2026, and online applications are invited from 11th August to 31st August 2026. Selection Process

The selection process for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026 consists of three phases:

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (100 Marks, 1 Hour)

Note: Negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer. Approximately 10 times the vacancies will be shortlisted for the Main Exam.

Phase-II: Main Examination (200 Marks, 2 Hours 40 Minutes)

Note: Negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be decided by the Bank.

Phase-III: Local Language Proficiency Test

Provisionally selected candidates who have not studied the specified local language in 10th/12th standard must appear in LLPT. The test pattern includes non-verbal and verbal tests. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be offered appointment.

The preliminary and main examinations will be conducted across multiple centers in India. Candidates can choose their preferred center during the application process.
