Eligibility Criteria

Associate Professor

  • Doctoral degree in the relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences.
  • 8 years’ experience in the relevant subject as Assistant Professor/Scientist/Lecturer in Pay Band-3 with GP/AGP/RGP of ₹5,400/₹6,000/₹7,000/₹8,000, with evidence of contribution to research/teaching/extension.
  • OR: Doctoral degree with a minimum of 8 years of high-quality post-doctoral research experience, evidenced by at least 6 publications in journals with NAAS rating of 7.5 or above.
  • Basic undergraduate degree in Veterinary Science is part of the essential qualification (as per VCI Regulation 2016).

Assistant Professor

  • Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade.
  • NET is compulsory along with one publication in a NAAS-rated refereed journal.
  • NET can be waived for candidates holding a Ph.D. completed with course work (as per UGC Regulation 2009), provided they have at least two full-length publications with NAAS rating of not less than 4.
  • Ph.D. preferred for candidates with Master’s degree.

Selection is based on the candidate’s previous academic and professional record as per the prescribed scorecard.

Interview

Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. Candidates must obtain at least 50% marks in the interview (32% for SC/ST/Divyang/Female candidates).
