Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology. OR Graduation in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from a recognized university/institution. The qualification must be obtained as on 01/08/2025.

The chest expansion must be at least 5 cm difference between normal and expanded chest measurement.

Selection Process

Stage 1: Written Examination

Paper 1 – General Hindi: 50 MCQ questions, 100 marks, 1 hour duration. Qualifying in nature with minimum 30 marks. 2 marks for correct answer, 0.2 marks deducted for wrong answer. Marks from this paper are NOT added to the merit list.

Paper 2 – General Studies: 100 MCQ questions, 300 marks, 2 hours duration. Covers General Knowledge & Current Affairs, General Science, Civil Polity, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics & Mental Ability. 3 marks for correct answer, 0.3 marks deducted for wrong answer.

Stage 2: Interview

Shortlisted candidates (6 times the number of vacancies) are called for interview. Total interview marks: 50. The interview assesses overall personality and suitability for the Forest Range Officer position.
