Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Graduate from a UGC recognized university as on the date of advertisement.

Selection Process
Stage 1: Stenography Test
- Voice Test before Dictation: 2 minutes
- Speed Test in Shorthand: 100 words per minute (700 words) – 100 marks, 7 minutes duration
- Time for testing computer: 3 minutes
- Time for transcription: 25 minutes on computer
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 30 marks
Candidates either equal to 10 times the number of vacancies (1:10) who have qualified in the stenography test shall be called for the written test.
Stage 2: Written Test
- English Language Proficiency: 50 marks
- Official Language of Assam (Assamese): 20 marks
- Duration: 1½ hours (Objective type OMR based)

Stage 3: Viva-voce
